A Windsor school has ranked in The Good Schools Guide, making it the first co-ed prep school in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead to be featured.

St George’s School Windsor Castle, located on Datchet Road is open to those aged three to 13, promising a 'forward-thinking new approach to learning'.

The school guide offers a comprehensive insight into life at St George’s, compiled following an in-depth visit to the school by a member of The Good Schools Guide team.

During the visit interviews with staff and students were carried out alongside a tour of the site. Anonymised parent feedback was also looked at.

The Good Schools Guide said: “Families who want a liberal, outward-looking education delivered by bright-eyed teachers in a small and nurturing urban haven (plus castle) may find their child’s happy ever after here.”

Selecting their schools on merit alone, The Good Schools Guide pride themselves on complete impartiality and offering candid advice to parents across the UK and beyond.

Headteacher William Goldsmith said: “I am delighted that St George’s has been included in The Good Schools Guide.

“I feel they have captured the school, our philosophy and mission, as well as our intent and desire to do things differently very well.”
