A TRIAL into the death of a 24-year-man in Slough has been delayed today.

Three men are currently on trial at Reading Crown Court in connection to the death of Mohammed Rafaqit Kayani who died from a fatal stab wound to the chest during an incident in Keel Drive on August 30, 2022.

Riaz Miah, 21, of no fixed abode, is charged with one count of murder, as well as one court of perverting the course of justice and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Hassan Al-Kubanji, 21, of Peabody Avenue, London, is charged with one count of murder, perverting the course of justice and possession of a blade/sharp pointed article in a public place and two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine and heroin.

Miguel Parian John, aged 41, of Concorde Way, Slough, is charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine and heroin, and one count each of assisting an offender and possession of a blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

The trial was expected to continue today (February 16) with a second witness called to the stand.

However, it has now been delayed until tomorrow morning (February 17).
