A Maidenhead restaurant has been listed in the 2023 Michelin Guide.

The Crown at Burchetts Green is listed in the Michelin Guide of Great Britain & Ireland and is the latest addition to its list of highly-acclaimed restaurants in the country.

The restaurant has seen its listing reinstated under its new owner, Dominic Chapman, who took over the venue from chef Simon Bonwick last year.

Michelin described the food at the Crown as “rewarding and flavoursome”, highlighting the “delicious” potted chicken and duck liver parfait with fig chutney as “a perfect match for the warm and comforting surroundings”.

Chapman said: “We’re delighted to be in the Michelin Guide, not even a year after having taken the reins.

“Our driving passion is to make our guests happy, and to have also achieved national recognition alongside such prestigious restaurants from all over the UK and Ireland means so much to all of us.”

The Crown reopened last year under a new head chef, Dominic Chapman who also owns the Beehive in White Waltham.

Michelin announces new additions to its listings each month ahead of revealing which listed restaurants will receive Michelin stars on publication of the guide.

This year’s guide will be published on March 27 - recognising only establishments that meet its high standards of quality and consistency.
