A man has been jailed after stealing cash and credit cards and using them in fraudulent activity.

Jason Reynolds, aged 43, of Burlington Road, Slough was sentenced at a hearing at Winchester Crown Court on Thursday, May 11.

On August 9, 2022, Reynolds gained access to a residence on The Crescent in Slough and stole cash and credit cards.

He then attempted to make fraudulent purchases using the cards in the High Street in Slough.

The victim reported the burglary and an investigation was launched.

Through CCTV enquiries, Reynolds was identified as the offender and was arrested on September 26, 2022. He was charged the same day and convicted in March 2023.

In court, Reynolds pleaded guilty to one count of burglary and two counts of fraud by false representation.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Sasha Lakovic of the Slough Priority Crime Team, said: “I am satisfied that Reynolds has been sentenced for his crimes.

“Our investigation looked to gather evidence and CCTV to identify Reynolds who was then arrested.

“The overwhelming evidence led to Reynolds pleading guilty.

“We are committed to tackling burglary which is an invasion on people’s homes, we will continue our work to investigate such crimes and take offenders such as Reynolds’ off our streets.

“We would ask members of our community to please report any suspicious activity to us.

“Together, we can continue to make our community a safe place to live, and work.”

Reynolds has been jailed for two years and 11 months.
