Emergency works are causing traffic near Legoland as visitors are warned to take a detour.
Workers began unscheduled works on Winkfield Road yesterday (May 30), with locals not receiving any warning as traffic lights were put in place.
It has now been confirmed that the works are being done by Scottish and Southern Power Destruction and are set to be completed on June 6.
Cllr Helen Price said: "There is emergency work taking place through a failed power cable, hence no one knew about this in advance. This is likely to last until the weekend.
"There are two-way traffic lights causing queues backing up both ways.
"I have alerted Legoland and RBWM officers suggesting additional signage to direct drivers a longer but quicker way round to avoid this bottleneck."
Legoland, Scottish and Southern Power Distribution and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead have all been contacted for comment.
