A famous manor in Berkshire has been named amongst the most beautiful stately home in the world.

Windsor Castle has been named the seventh most beautiful stately home in the world after research conducted by interior experts at Swift Direct Blinds.

The findings are based on the number of reviews left on TripAdvisor and Yelp describing stately homes as ‘beautiful’, coupled with those most frequently praised via Instagram hashtags and featuring most prominently in search data.

Windsor Castle reviews were found to include the word "beautiful" 31.6 per cent of the time, with a total of 450,104 Instagram hashtags dedicated to the estate.

Despite being rated at seventh, Windsor Castle is experiencing the second-highest growth in popularity, with interest up by 157.44 per cent.
