Hundreds turned out for Windsor's Rock the Rec to mark the beginning of July.

On July 1 and 2 locals took to Windsor for a two-day festival at Clewer Memorial Recreation Ground on Dedworth Road.

The weekend saw food outlets, stalls, and a fun fair act as the backdrop to a line-up of entertainment acts including OASISesque and The Underground.

The day was open to all ages and was hosted by local celebrity Kevin Cruise.

Annington, the company responsible for refurbishing former Ministry of Defence homes at The Crescent, has donated £400 to Windsor’s local community festival, Rock the Rec.

With such fundraising events being at the heart of the community, all the money raised from the festival will now go back into supporting the local community.

The money will be used to fund local projects such as improving security for elderly people, as well as giving access to computers for the digitally disadvantaged.

Stacy Whitehead, Marketing Manager at Annington, comments: “It was wonderful to see the local community basking in the sunshine and singing their hearts out at the long-awaited Rock the Rec festival.

"Events like these are so important for the local community to come together and enjoy, and whilst times have been tough, Annington believes no family should miss out on the fun."
