A CORONER has described the death of a Slough GP as ‘particularly touching’ and ‘awful’, an inquest has heard.
Senior coroner Heidi Connor described the death of Dr Jaipreet Panesar, who was found dead in a Maidenhead hotel, as ‘particularly touching’ due to her being in the medical profession.
Dr Panesar, who practised in High Wycombe, was found passed away on April 27 this year at the age of 36.

An inquest at Berkshire Coroner’s Court on Tuesday (July 11) confirmed that a postmortem examination has offered the coroner a medical cause of death.
Mrs Connor, speaking to Dr Panesar’s father, said: “I’m sure you have lots of things going through your mind during these awful circumstances.
“I find the question most families want to know most is ‘why’ and we can’t answer that. Every case like this is sad but I’m particularly touched when a person in the medical profession dies in this way.”

The inquest heard Dr Panesar was not known to mental health services at the time of her death but had been receiving treatment in Buckinghamshire until October last year.
A full inquest date has not yet been set while the investigation is ongoing.
