A retail park has seen two closures in the space of a month.

Bishop Centre in Taplow has been known for its wide retail offering, boasting restaurants, sports and clothing stores and a large supermarket.

However, in the last month, both Frankie & Bennys and Evans Cycles have closed up shop.

The signs of both stores have since been taken down, with notes left in the windows to state the closures.

A note in Evans Cycles reads: "The store will be closing in July.

"Please shop at our nearest store at Mill Lane in Reading."

While Frankie & Benny's closed on May 27.

"We're sorry to announce the permanent closure of this Taplow Frankie & Benny's branch," a note at the window read.

"A big thank you for your custom and support over the years, we've enjoyed every minute."

The Observer reached out to the popular food chain for further comment.

A spokesperson for Frankie & Benny's said: “We announced a review of our Leisure estate in March and made the difficult decision to exit some of our Frankie & Benny’s, Chiquito and Firejacks sites.

"We are working closely with our impacted teams and will look to redeploy colleagues to neighbouring sites across our wider estate wherever possible.”

It is unknown what will be coming to the units next.
