Festival-goers were disappointed after the headline act of Summertime Live Windsor didn't show up to his set.

On Saturday, August 12, thousands descended on Windsor Racecourse for a festival featuring Classic Ibiza, Sigala and the Artful Dodger.

Set across three stages, Summertime Live boasted the opportunity to let your hair down with something for everyone.

The festival offered a selection of music, with an offering of fairground attractions and food and drink vendors to keep the buzz going.

DJ SKT, known by many as the Thursday night KISS radio DJ, kept everyone engaged throughout the evening with callbacks and music from the last couple of decades.

After the KISS Radio DJ's set, Sigala was set to arrive at the main stage at 7:50pm, with Classic Ibiza expected to finish off the evening at 9pm.

However, DJ SKT who took to the stage at 6:50pm continued until 9pm when the Classic Ibiza Orchestra began to set up.

The Observer approached a member of staff to enquire about the set change and was told Sigala would not be playing.

The staff member added that the main stage had been asked to announce this, but had "refused" multiple times.

Staff members believed Sigala had either missed his flight or that he briefly showed up before leaving.

Approximately 10 people had approached the staff member to enquire about Sigala before appearing to exit the festival.

Despite the changes in the setlist, the Ibiza Orchestra later took the stage and ended the evening with a bang, including chart-topping hits from the last 30 years.

Following the evening, Sigala took to his Instagram on Sunday, August 13, with an image of clouds and a caption which said: "Really sorry I couldn't perform in Windsor due to circumstances beyond our control."

Previously Sigala had posted a video of him running through an airport at midday Saturday, with a caption reading: "Almost missed the flight but we made it. Windsor I'll see you soon."
