Police are investigating a shooting in Slough after a man was attacked in the early hours of this morning.

A was shot in the foot and leg between 12am and 1am near to Petersfield Avenue and Benson Close, police said. 

Officers said they were called to the scene after reports of loud bangs and men running through gardens.

A man in his thirties sustained injuries to his foot and leg in the incident and has been taken to hospital for treatment.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Russell Prentice said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to please come forward to assist our investigation.

“Also, please could anyone with CCTV cameras in the area or anyone with a dash-cam who was driving in the area at the time of the incident check their recordings in case they have captured anything which could help us.
“I understand this may cause concern in the community but this is thought to be an isolated incident with no wider threat to the public.

“Residents may see an increased police presence while we carry out our investigation. If you have any questions or concerns then please speak to one of our officers.
