Heavy traffic has been reported on the M4 near Slough.
At around 9:45am on Thursday, September 14, traffic was brought to a standstill heading eastbound on the M4 between junction 4 and 6.
One police car has been spotted on the scene, with traffic seeming to tail back close to junction 7.
As on 10:10am traffic seemed to have been released.
A National Highways spokesperson said: "A tow rope was reported in the eastbound carriageway close to junction 6.
"For safety reasons this had to be removed and a temporary rolling road block was put in place at 9.46am this was taken off 10 minutes later with traffic moving freely again."
