With Christmas now less than three months away, Royal Windsor Theatre are making preparations for their annual panto.

Announced to be Aladdin, the cast will take the stage for the first show on Friday, November 24.

On the announcement of the news, Theatre Royal Windsor said: "The genie is out of the bottle (or rather lamp)."

Cast members have already been spotted around town promoting the new production.

The production is set to see many returning faces, including the likes of Anita Harris, Steven Blakeley and Kevin Cruise.

Family favourite Basil Brush is also to take the stage for his tenth Windsor pantomime.

While Patti Boulaye is to join the cast as the genie - along with Robby Khela as Aladin and Carmen Law as Princess Jasmine.

The production is due to last until Sunday, January 14, having been extended by an extra week due to popular demand.

Kevin Cruise previously told the Observer: "People travel to the theatre from 'all over the world' to watch the panto.

"A lot of people come from America each year, from Canada, Israel. We have some very loyal fans and we look after them."
