The following cases were heard at Reading or Slough Magistrates’ Courts

TRACI WOOD, 59, of Swallowfield Gardens, Theale, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Newbury on March 11 this year with 97 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. She was given a community order to complete 80 hours of unpaid work, 15 rehabilitation activity days, and she was disqualified from driving for 26 months, reduced by 26 weeks. There were also court cots of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.

JULIE CARLTON, 57, of St Andrews, Bracknell, was found guilty of using threatening, abusive words, behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress on April 13 at the Royal Berkshire Hospital as well as attempting common assault on ambulance service staff. She was given a conditional discharge of 18 months. There were also court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £26.

RAMRIN KUMDEE KING, 45, of Ruislip, Hillingdon, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified in Reading on May 8 this year as well as driving without third-party insurance. He also pleaded guilty to obstructing a police constable in the execution of duty. He was jailed for 26 weeks and disqualified from driving for 59 months. He was also fined £115. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £154.

JEANETTE NORTH, 25, of Kingsbridge Road, Newbury,  indicated guilty to harassment without violence between June 14, 2022, and June 26, 2022 by sending emails to a person’s place of work, their boss, their WhatsApp and also sending letters to their home address. She was given a period of conditional discharge for 12 months and was made subject to a restraining order. There was no order for court costs but a victim surcharge was ordered to the value of £26.

ROBERT BASNETT, 34, of Cookham Road, Maidenhead, was found guilty of common assault on June 30 last year in Maidenhead as well as one count of criminal damage after damaging a fridge freezer to the value of £295 on the same day. He was given a period of conditional discharge for 12 months and was ordered to pay £295 in compensation. There were also court costs of £500 and a victim surcharge of £26.

DANIEL BARRETT, 32, of Station Road, Earley, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Henley on September 29 last year with 154 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months, reduced by 20 weeks, and was fined £120. There were also court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £48.

LAURIE FLYNN, 32, of Palmer Park Avenue, Reading, pleaded guilty to assault between February 1, 2023 and February 2, 2023 in Reading and a second count of assault on February 3, 2023. She also pleaded guilty to one count of criminal damage between the same dates after destroying a mirror and glasses to a value unknown. She was given a community order to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and 30 days of rehabilitation activity. She was also made subject to a restraining order. There was an order for £85 in court costs and a victim surcharge of £114.
