A restaurant and cafe in Berkshire are amongst the eateries to have scooped up a Good Food Award.
The winners of the coveted Good Food Awards have been revealed.
With five winners across Berkshire, the competition celebrates exceptional independent businesses.
The awards are based on votes from diners, a mystery review and the venue’s ratings on platforms like Deliveroo and Just Eat and winners are given the Blue Ribbon for Delicious Dishes.
Here are the winners in Berkshire.
Meimo
The restaurant in Windsor at 69-70 Peascod Street serves Moroccan, Mediterranean and Mezze dishes, including chicken, couscous specialities and tagines.
Blazin Soul Kitchen
The restaurant in Ascot at Station Works, Lyndhurst Road has an offering of Caribbean Street Food.
Opened by Jamaican-born chef Antoin Morrison, he said he was "absolutely overwhelmed" with the award and reaction.
“We take on board opinions from every customer and use it to make our food and service better in the future.
“It means so much to the team and we have had a vast array of positive comments as the business has taken off.”
Cinnamon Cafe
The cafe in Windsor at Windsor Royal Station boasts an intimate cafe with free WiFi and an offering of drinks and cakes.
Cafe Yolk
The cafe in Reading at Erleigh Road has been open since 2013 and has picked up many awards.
It offers food and drink with an award-winning brunch, with eggs done with a variety of dishes, as well as sweet treats.
The Switch
The cafe in Reading at The Triangle serves baguettes, sandwiches and toasties as well as larger dishes including many brunch favourites.
Taking to social media The Switch said: "We've only gone and completed the Treble!
"We're absolutely blown away to reveal that we've won not only one, but three national awards for Best Cafe/Brunch venue from three different awarding bodies, the first time anywhere in Berkshire has achieved this.
