Plans to tear down an ‘uncompleted’ building in Slough and replace it with three homes have been submitted.

The proposals would see a terrace of three two-bedroom houses built on the land by Elliman Avenue following the demolition.

The design and access statement reads: “The existing uncompleted property is a two-storey detached property rear of properties along Elliman Avenue with access via Myrtle Crescent. The existing building is not listed and not within curtilage or proximity of a listed building, it is not within a Conservation Area or Green belt.

“Distinctive simplicity of architecture of surrounding dwellings which define the local character has been a fundamental consideration for the exterior design and elevational material of the proposed building.

“Local character comprises of mainly two storey buildings, common building materials including facing brickwork, painted render, white UPVC windows and timber/planting boundary treatments.”

Each home would also get a parking space and cycle storage, with the car parking also featuring rapid electric vehicle charging facilities.

The buildings would be the same height at the ridge as the adjacent block of flats Allington Court.

The statement adds: “It is considered that the scale, massing, style and the siting of the proposed redevelopment would introduce a character to be emulated within the existing street scene, it will form a congruent and harmonious development.”
