Police are calling for witnesses to come forward after four males attacked a teenage boy and tried to take his phone.
It is believed that the incident may have been racially motivated.
Between 5 pm and 6 pm on 17 December the boy was walking along Grasmere Avenue, Slough.
He was approached by four males who assaulted him and tried to take his phone.
He fought them off and managed to run away.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Deborah Rimmer, said: “We are investigating this assault which was reported to us on Wednesday 27 December but happened on Sunday 17 December.
“We are carrying out enquiries and we believe that this incident may be racially motivated.
“We are appealing for witnesses to come forward or also to anyone who has CCTV or possible dash-cam footage.
“Anyone with information should call 101 or can provide information online, please quote reference 43230578076.
