A woman was pulled from her vehicle after a tree fell into the road amid Storm Henk.
As Storm Henk ripped through Berkshire bringing an amber weather warning for wind, police and locals were rushing to help a woman whose car had been damaged by a falling tree.
At approximately 4pm on Tuesday, January 2, Thames Valley Police shared that a driver in Cookham had been "extremely lucky" to escape with minor injuries when a tree came down on their car on Sutton Lane, Cookham.
Images show how the black Volkswagen Polo had been struck by a tree, causing the roof to fold inwards and the windscreen to smash.
Matt Stacey was working in a neighbouring field alongside Jay Dakin when the incident happened.
When they saw the incident the pair rushed to the scene to help.
"All we cared about was if she was ok," Mr Stacey said.
"We got her out of her car and sat her in my vehicle to keep her warm while emergency services got to the scene.
"We then got the go-ahead from the police to clear the road with our tractor.
"We were only doing what anyone else would have done in the situation."
Another man, believed to be named Billy was first on the scene and phoned the emergency services.
