Police patrolling Maidenhead town centre have handed out formal warnings to those riding bikes and escooters through the High Street.
On Friday, January 12, PCSOs from Maidenhead Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out an operation to target anti-social behaviour and the use of cycles and E-scooters on Maidenhead High Street.
Several people were handed formal police warnings, including two people who attempted to evade police.
One of these riders was seen riding recklessly at speed on a modified machine and after failing to stop was removed from it by police.
The individual took off and police seized his escooter.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: "We are doing these operations due to this being highlighted as an ongoing issue in the town centre by both businesses and shoppers, many of whom have had near misses with riders."
