Slough Borough Council has recently released a statement regarding the cold weather we have been experiencing as of late.

In the statement the government body told its residents that they are having some issues due to the falling temperature.

They said that due to the cold weather, some residents are going without their green waste bins being collected.

They said that the freezing temperatures are causing the garden waste in some bins to freeze over, so bin crews are unable to get the waste out of the bins.

In a recent statement on social media, a spokesperson for the council said the following:

"The very cold weather is causing us problems when we are emptying green waste bins, the green waste is frozen in the bins and crews are struggling to get it out.

"As a result, if we half empty bins we apologise and we will remedy as soon as possible."
