A driver who attempted to drive himself home from court following disqualification has been arrested.
Thames Valley Police stopped a vehicle in Slough on Monday, January 22, due to a minor moving traffic offence.
On speaking to officers and undertaking a roadside drug wipe, the driver failed the test and was arrested at the scene.
Thames Valley Police conducted further checks, which showed that the driver had been to Slough magistrates that same morning where they were disqualified from driving, with immediate effect.
The disqualification followed a previous drink driving offence.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: "They are now safely in custody, on remand, awaiting another court visit in the morning."
