Emergency services have rushed to train tracks after a person was struck by a train.
South Western Railway warned commuters of an incident between Staines and Wraysbury earlier today (February 1) which brought trains to a halt.
They said: "Our response teams are working with the emergency services to assist with the incident. In order to allow emergency services access to the railway all power to the track will need to be switched off in the affected area."
Trains were cancelled and delayed between Staines, Windsor & Eton Riverside and Virginia Water, with service resuming shortly before 2pm.
A spokesperson for National Rail added: "Following a person being struck by a train between Staines and Wraysbury all lines have re-opened.
"Train service recovery is well underway, however due to train crew and train stock displacement, we still expect services to be delayed, revised or cancelled at short notice until 2pm."
