The Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead has been busying himself out in the local community, showing his unwavering support for all that Windsor has to offer.

When the mayor does not choose to focus his time on support of local charities, he is showing his unwavering support for the other wonderful things in Windsor.

One such time was when the mayor visited a prominent organisation in the community was earlier this week when he attended a choral performance.

The WINDSOR AND ETON CHORAL SOCIETY (WECS) gave its first public performance in Windsor in 1837 while William the Fourth was still on the throne, making it one of the six oldest Choral Societies in the country.

Founded by the then Organist of St George’s Chapel Windsor, it has always had a close connection with both St George’s Chapel and Eton College.
