This week has been an exciting time at Langley Hall Primary Academy Lower School site.
The Arts Award classes presented their finished projects. Year 1 couldn't wait to present their very own model of Disneyland. They studied Walt Disney in depth and spoke about how he imagined creating a special park where all of his characters came to life in different worlds.
We decided to focus on creating: a main street that led up to the famous castle, then five different 'lands': Tomorrowland, fantasyland, Toon Town, Frontierland and Adventureland.
The children then detailed and created the various different aspects of these lands and characters to bring them to life.
Year 2 focused on CS Lewis and the Chronicles of Narnia. We studied the four main characters of the Pevensie family and spoke about what they could be doing after the final book in the series.
