A "hard-working" man with his whole life ahead of him has tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run.

At around 5:35pm on Thursday, February 22, in Horton Road, Colnbrook, at the junction with Beacon Court, a dark-coloured van is believed to have collided with an 18-year-old male pedestrian.

Tragically, the man has since died as a result of his injuries.

Now named publicly as 18-year-old Adam Bouaziz, dozens of messages have been left paying tribute to his life.

Responding to the news, Tina Paesano-Cox has said: "RIP Adam, you were such a lovely young man."

"Such a tragic loss of precious life," Helen Spring added.

While Billy Smith said: "Watched that little boy grow up from a baby into a young man, one of the nicest and most quiet boys you’d meet."

Following the incident, the driver of the van failed to stop at the scene.

This prompted a police appeal for dashcam footage and for information on a van which police said was likely to have sustained damage as a result of the incident.

Following the tragic events, Mai Michelle said: "This is so close to home. How a driver can drive off is beyond me knowing that you have hit someone.

"You have taken a young life please driver report yourself. My daughter was just talking to Adam before he got off the bus and she is so distraught. Condolences to the family."

By Friday afternoon (February 23) Thames Valley Police had arrested two people.

A 34-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both from Slough, were arrested on suspicion of Causing Death by Dangerous Driving.

Now Charlie Maccuish has launched a fundraiser in the name of Adam Bouaziz with the goal of raising £3,000. This target has already been met with 70 donations equating to £3,765.

The fundraiser reads: "This young dear boy named Adam Bouaziz was killed by a hit-and-run driver down Horton road in Colnbrook.

"Adam was a sound hard-working man who was only 18-years-old and had his whole life ahead of him
