Despite work that has gone into replacing the signs at Burnham Railway Bridge, some vehicles are still not abiding by the height restrictions.
A spokesperson for Slough Borough Council has released the following statement:
"Replacement work for the damaged signs on the Burnham Railway Bridge, on Station Rd, has been completed.
"Motorists are reminded that the height restriction is 2.5 metres. It's important to know the height of your vehicle to avoid any height restrictions like this on your route."
A member of the public then responded with a photograph of a lorry stuck under the bridge with the caption "And yet this morning...I don't know what happened to the actual vehicle, it was only the shell of the van and the stuff that was inside it that was left behind."
The council promptly responded to the resident with "Drivers really do need to pay attention and know the height of their vehicle!"
