Two men have sustained serious injuries following a crash outside Windsor Castle.
The incident occurred at around 7:50am on Tuesday, March 12 on Thames Street when a blue Polestar vehicle collided with a parked Vauxhall combo van.
The workers were unloading items from the rear of the van. They were taken to John Radcliffe Hospital after being attended to at the scene.
Thames Valley Police arrived soon after the incident was reported and quickly closed the road to attend to casualties.
After hitting the van, the Polestar came to rest against the boundary wall of Windsor Castle.
This comes just days after a man was arrested for crashing into the gates of Buckingham Palace.
Investigating officer PC Mark Zilles, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please come forward.
“Additionally, we’d ask any motorists with dash-cams who were in the local area around the time of the incident to check footage in case they may have captured something that could help our investigation. You can submit footage to our dedicated online portal.
“You can also get in touch via the Thames Valley Police website or by calling 101, quoting reference 43240115038.”
The driver and two children in the Polestar were taken to hospital with minor injuries, they have since been discharged.
No arrests have been made.
