A school has celebrated its latest Ofsted inspection after the education watchdog confirmed it is still meeting the standard to be rated 'outstanding'

Eden Girls' School on the Bath Road in Slough was first given the high rating in 2018.

In an inspection on February 21 and 22 children were seen to be "proud and happy" to be a part of the "warm, welcoming school" where they "excel both academically and personally".

Eden Girls' School is part of the Star Academies multi-academy trust and is run by headteacher Sajid Khaliq.

On the quality of education provided by the school, the report states that: "The curriculum is highly ambitious, which enables pupils to flourish in all areas".

It adds: "Teachers are real specialists. They consistently demonstrate strong subject knowledge. Teachers plan and sequence lessons precisely to ensure that pupils learn the intended curriculum and develop deep knowledge in all subjects."

Praising the school’s culture of inclusivity and accessibility, the report also states that: "The school is equally ambitious for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), who have access to the same curriculum and achieve equally well."

Pupils’ behaviour and attitudes were found to be "immensely polite, friendly and respectful".

"Behaviour is exemplary in lessons and around the school site" and "Pupils are highly motivated to do their very best. They value learning and take pride in their work."

The report concluded: "Working relationships between staff and pupils are extremely positive", "Pupils are very well prepared for their next steps" and that "Great care, compassion and calmness permeate through the school."

Eden Girls' School, is a progressive Islamic faith school for girls aged between 11 and 18.

It first opened in September 2015 with its first cohort of Year 7 and 8 pupils. There are now 619 students on its roll.

The school’s Principal, Sajid Khaliq, said: “We are proud to receive an outstanding judgement from Ofsted in our second inspection. It is particularly pleasing that the inspectors praised our pupils’ respectful behaviour, their high levels of attainment and their positive relationships with our staff.

“I wish to thank our talented staff who are committed to ensuring our pupils’ learning is engaging, memorable and effective, every single day. The report also validates our strong partnership with parents, committed governors, dedicated staff, and inspired pupils and exemplifies the great care, compassion and calm that permeate throughout the school.”
