A hotel opposite Maidenhead train station was evacuated last night after a fire was reported.
At 10:12pm on Monday, April 15, the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a fire at a commercial premise on King Street in Maidenhead.
Members of the public saw around seven fire engines attend the incident as the Travelodge building was evacuated.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough, Langley, Maidenhead and Windsor fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside two officers.
Crews and an Aerial Appliance from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were also sent to the scene.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire in an electrical box on the outside of a building.
"Firefighters evacuated the building before using a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
"Crews were at the scene for approximately 53 minutes."
Travelodge confirmed that all the correct procedures were undertaken.
