A weekend of events is set to take place in Windsor to celebrate the two shopping centres becoming one.

‘Embrace Windsor’ celebrates the integration of Windsor Yards and Windsor Royal Station Shopping Centres into one new offering - Windsor Royal.

The new brand is to be celebrated with a "fun-packed" free weekend of events and activities in the heart of the town on Saturday, May 25 and May 26.

Taking place throughout the shopping centre from 10am to 4pm on both days, the event features free entertainment, games, crafts and activities, pop-ups, food sampling and lots more.

The lineup includes live music and dance, giant games, balloon modelling, comic book characters, children’s entertainment, arts and crafts, food and drinks samples and workshops, a candyfloss tricycle, magazine selfie box, local business promotions and competitions.

A spokesperson for Windsor Royal said: "With Windsor Royal Station and Windsor Yards both now under the same ownership, the two premier shopping centres in the heart of historic Windsor are being integrated into one under the banner Windsor Royal.

“We hope this celebration to mark the official launch of Windsor Royal will be enjoyed by a whole mix of people as we all come together to Embrace Windsor."

As part of an ambitious regeneration project, the integrated Windsor Royal site is set to develop significantly with the creation of a new multi-screen cinema, hotel, office space, homes, and an enhanced public realm, adding further to the attractiveness of the area, attracting new businesses and restaurants into the town and creating additional local job opportunities.
