Over a thousand residents were left with internet issues after underground cables were tampered with.
On Wednesday, May 22, Thames Valley Police Officers, including Windsor and Maidenhead Incident Crime Response and the Priority Crime Team, attended an incident alongside BT Openreach.
Three men had been in the process of stealing "high value" underground copper and were arrested at at the scene.
Samantha Banfield, Thames Valley Police Neighbourhood Administrator for Windsor and Maidenhead, said: "Their actions and damage caused resulted in over 1,200 customers having their services disrupted."
Repairs are still ongoing in the area.
Ms Banfield added: "The three males have successfully been charged with Attempted Theft and Criminal Damage."
They were due to appear before Magistrates Court on Thursday, May 23.
