Ambitious plans for entertainment events and more activities have been lodged by a busy sports club in Slough.

Slough Cricket Club located off Upton Court Road has a reputation as one of the best for cricket in the Thames Valley.

The club has recently applied to hold a range of activities on-site and at its clubhouse.

Firstly, the club wants to hold plays, boxing or wrestling entertainment, films and play indoors and outdoors from 10.30am to midnight Monday to Sunday.

In more details, the club wants to conduct indoor sporting events, hold live music and dance performances and similar activities indoors and outdoors from 10.30am to 1.03am each day.

To entertain guests, the club has also applied to sell food and alcohol indoors and outdoors from 10.30am to 1.30am throughout the week.

It is understood that the grant of activities would allow the club to hold special one-off events, allowing its clubhouse to be for hire throughout the year, as well as its regular sports events.

Slough Cricket Club is hoping to conduct all of these activities in a licensing application to Slough Borough Council.

A statutory consultation into the licensing application can be responded to by emailing licensing@slough.gov.uk.

The deadline for representations is Tuesday, June 11.
