Police are appealing for witnesses after an unexplained death in Slough.

A 51-year-old man, of no fixed abode, sadly died after a fire in an underpass under the M4 near White Hart Road on May 13.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Leiagh Ball, of Slough CID, said: “We are appealing for witnesses after this very sad death on May 13.

“We are investigating this as an unexplained death at this time as the circumstances are unclear; but it is not currently being treated as a murder. A file has been prepared for the Berkshire coroner.

“I understand this will be concerning for the community but there is nothing to suggest any wider threat to the public and we are investigating it as a priority.

“We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area near the underpass on the afternoon of May 13 as you may have vital information to help our enquiries.

“Anyone with information should call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43240222336.

“Even though you may not have seen anything that was out of the ordinary, it may still assist in our investigation so please get in contact.”
