A terrace of six new houses could be built on a major road through Slough if plans submitted to the council are approved.
Plans submitted in the name of a Mr Purewall are seeking permission from Slough Borough council for a row of new homes on the corner of Thirckleby Close.
Designs say the new homes would be a ‘thoughtful and considerate addition to the neighbourhood.’
The site for the proposed houses is currently unoccupied, and taken up by a mound of unkept grass. However it is behind a telephone mast and utility cabinets on the corner and a parking area attached to the flats next door on Thirckleby Close.
A site plan submitted to the council show the new row of houses would be set back behind the corner of the street and the parking area. Each house would have three bedrooms, a garage and a garden, and six new parking spaces would be created.
A design statement on behalf of developers says: “The proposed development comprises six new build terraced houses, each thoughtfully designed to blend modern functionality with aesthetic appeal.
“Each residence will feature a spacious ground floor garage, ensuring convenient and secure parking of cars and cycles for homeowners.”
It argues that the plan is ‘well thought out’ and ‘should be put forward as a successful planning application.
