A car has been pulled from the River Thames after water rescue teams discovered it “completely submerged” in the water.
Crews from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue informed police at around 3:21pm on Monday, September 3 that a suspicious vehicle was discovered in the water behind Windsor Leisure Centre near Stovell Road.
The latest images at the scene show the car being pulled from the river by a crane.
Water rescue crews from the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue were still present at the scene as investigations are ongoing.
Thames Valley Police have stated that they do not believe that anyone was in the car as it went into the water.
A spokesperson said: "The car has now been removed from the river, and we are conducting an investigation into the circumstances."
