One of the few gentleman's clubs providing lap dances and pole dances in Slough will have to renew its permissions for such activities soon.
The Flags Gentleman's Club is an adult entertainment venue at 43 Church Street in Chalvey. The venue boasts of being 'the first choice for erotic entertainment' and 'the highest rated strip club in Berkshire' according to Google reviews.
The club's website states: "The Exotic Dancers at The Flags bring a fun and lively atmosphere to the pub and are always delighted to sit down with you, have a drink, a chat and laugh seven days a week.
"Our girls are English speakers who are notoriously down to earth and famously friendly.
"You will not only enjoy beautiful, approachable female company, but you have the option of having a private dance to boot."
The club also has a bar and pool room, has live sports showings and opens at 5pm each day. Erotic dancing takes place from 8pm to 1am from Sunday to Wednesday, and 8pm to 2.30am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
For the adult entertainment to continue, the managers of The Flags require a 'sex establishment' licence from Slough Borough Council. The managers last applied for the licence renewal in December 2023. A council licensing officer confirmed that this renewal has taken place.
Sex establishment licences have to be renewed every year. Both grants of new licences and renewals cost £2,606 according to the council website.
Managers of The Flags are expected to renew the licence in November or December this year.
