A man has been jailed for 'vicious assault' where he repeatedly stamped on a man's head in Slough town centre, leading to his victim permanently losing sight in one eye.
Sushil Pal, 33 of The Crescent, Slough, was sentenced to six years and nine months in jail, following a hearing at Reading Crown Court on Thursday, October 17.
He pleaded guilty to one count of Section 18 Grievous Bodily Harm at the same hearing.

It follows Pal assaulting a man in The Crescent on August 11 this year.
Pal and another man, in his thirties, had 'some sort of verbal disagreement', according to Thames Valley Police, and Pal was encouraged by others to leave the area.
The offender left the area but returned shortly after, when he went up to the man and started shouting at him, before unleashing a punch that knocked the man to the ground.
Others in the area tried to stop Pal, however he continued stamping on the victim’s head.
A member of the public called an ambulance after Pal fled the scene on a bicycle.

The man was taken to hospital and was discharged - but has been left with permanent injuries as he lost sight in one eye.
Pal was arrested close to a month later on September 5 2023, and was charged the following day.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Ashley Jones, of CID based at Slough, said: “The violence and behaviour shown by Pal, can only be described as extreme aggression which was entirely unwarranted.
“The victim suffered life changing injuries following this incident and I would like to thank them for supporting our investigation.
“Serious violence will not be tolerated and I hope that the conviction and sentencing highlights that we will investigate such instances and bring offenders before the courts to face justice.”
