A charity launched 16 days of activism against domestic abuse.
Art Beyond Belief, in collaboration with the Safer Slough Partnership, kicked off the campaign yesterday at the Curve's art gallery.
The exhibition, open until December 10, features artwork created by the charity's clients.
The pieces depict the healing journey of residents affected by domestic abuse and other harmful practices.
Art Beyond Belief is a charity supporting the development and challenges individuals face.
It champions mental health, diversity, education, and interfaith groups, among other activities.
Art Beyond Belief's programmes are known for their multidisciplinary approach.
They blend art, study, computer-based graphics, photography, and discussions to encourage people to reflect on different perspectives, as well as their own.
Their projects aim to help individuals reassess personal issues, such as mental health and domestic violence, and offer support to those with dementia.
The charity also focuses on restoring communication in strained relationships, whether between parents and children, people from different cultural or faith backgrounds, or in instances of bullying.
Besides working directly with clients, Art Beyond Belief provides awareness training courses for professionals.
These sessions use the same innovative techniques employed in their programmes.
They also offer training to their partners, helping them to complement these techniques in their work.
