The government has released the latest flood alerts for our town and surrounding areas, but luckily there are only two at the moment to be aware of.
Homeowners who live close to rivers and wetlands should regularly check back for updates regarding flood warnings.
The full list of flood warnings is as follows:
Flood alert for River Thames from Hurley to Cookham
Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are rising on the River Thames as a result of heavy rainfall from Storm Bert and Storm Conall.
Therefore, flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected to continue today Thursday November 28, especially in the Hurley to Cookham areas. No further rainfall is currently forecast.
River levels are still slowly rising and we expect levels to remain high over the coming days.
Flood alert for Lower River Colne and Frays River
River levels remain high on the Lower Colne.
Flooding to low lying land and roads will continue to affect locations near the Colne, Frays, Wraysbury, Poyle Channel, Staines Moor and Longford.
