A 12-year-old boy from Holyport is set to make his big screen debut alongside Tom Hanks.
Albie Salter, a student at Lord Wandsworth College, will appear in the film Here, which is released in UK cinemas on Friday, January 17.
The film, directed by Robert Zemeckis, also stars Robin Wright and Paul Bettany.
Albie plays the role of Young Jimmy in the film, which is based on the 2014 graphic novel by Richard McGuire.
The film tells the story of a single house and the people who have lived there over the course of generations.
Albie said: "It’s so incredible to see yourself on the big screen.
"It’s almost unreal because you watch movies all the time and don’t imagine being in something like that."
This is Albie's first feature film, but he is no stranger to acting.
He played the lead role of Patch in 101 Dalmations – A New Musical at Regents Park Open Air Theatre in 2022, having made his professional stage debut there the year before in Carousel.
He said: "I also play the guitar and sing.
"I’m working on a third album and I’m looking to do a headline show this year."
Albie's next project is appearing in the Lord Wandsworth College production of Bugsy Malone at the Haymarket Theatre in Basingstoke on January 22 and 23.
