The whole family is in on it in this new murder mystery play coming to Colnbrook, Slough.
Father-daughter duo Bill and Gabriella Michell are co-directing a new murder mystery play called ‘The Screaming Twenties’.
The play is a bit of a murderous family affair, with Gabriella co-directing with her father and having also co-written the play with Gabi Howe.
There is even a part written in for Gabriella’s mom, Maria.
You could say the Michell’s are well-versed in murder, with Maria taking home an award recently for her performance as Mrs Ticklewell at Colnbrook Village Hall last year, where Bill also played as her accomplice.
Now daughter Gabriella is taking a stab at it with The Screaming Twenties, a murder mystery play with a twist that encourages everyone in the audience to put their sleuthing skills to the test and try to guess ‘whodunit’.
Set after World War I, the play contrasts the smooth exteriors of a pompous upper-class family with the dangerous secrets lurking just beneath.
The plot features a mad vicar, a drugged-up athlete, an ex-mafia killer, a mad niece locked in the attic, and a blackmailing maid shot dead.
Theatregoers are invited to mingle with the characters off-stage to try and identify the killer.
The Screaming Twenties will be showing at Colnbrook Village Hall from July 10-12.
Tickets are available online and include a fish and chips or vegetarian dinner served in the interval, with guests encouraged to don 1920s fancy dress to get into the spirit of things.
