With a national heatwave on our hands, that crave for an ice-cold pint is stronger than ever.

But with Berkshire being so close to London, it is sometimes difficult to know where is the best place to get your hands on a cheap drink.

With that being said, we teamed up with Online Marketing surgery and MG Timber to come up with a list of areas in our county serving the cheapest pints.

Using recent cost of living data, a new report has come out ranking the cheapest cities and towns for a pint in Berkshire.

Coming in at number one is, shockingly, the tourist haven that is Windsor, with the average cost of a pint coming in at £4.25.

One pub that is sure to be serving up locals the cheapest of pints is, of course, good old Wetherspoons, and the one in Windsor isn't half bad!

The King and Castle (aptly named) on Thames Street has received over 1,000 reviews on TripAdvisor, many people favouring it for its affordability.

The pub offers a dining experience that many travellers find reasonably priced, despite some noting inconsistent service and food quality concerns.

Service reviews are mixed; while some guests praise the politeness and efficiency of the staff, others have reported rudeness and order mistakes.

Food feedback is varied, with some diners highlighting issues with freshness but acknowledging satisfying meals at fair prices.

The atmosphere, described by many as inviting and cosy, features pleasant seating and a charming, if somewhat dim, environment.

One happy customer wrote, "Great choice for beers, drinks, and meals. In addition to an extensive menu, there is a special menu for children with great, cheaper options.

"You need to go to the counter to ask and pay in advance, but the waiters deliver the orders to the table.

"If you come to Windsor, come eat and drink here. Great prices and a beautiful view of Windsor Castle!"
