A show based on a popular children's book by a renowned author and illustrator is coming to Slough this Christmas.
The Comet, based on the book of the same name by Joe Todd-Stanton, will run at Curve Venue from December 16 to 24.
The story follows Nyla, who moves from the countryside to the city, missing her old life until a comet crashes into the city and starts to glow and grow.
This offers Nyla a chance for an adventure that might make her feel at home again.
Mr Todd-Stanton won the Waterstones Children's Book Prize for the book in 2018.
The stage adaptation was developed by StoryDen with the author's permission, incorporating workshops at local schools to explore the book and its themes.
The creative team includes founder of Salt Hill VR Jay Younes, award-winning Slough-based writer Desree, and Simone Carty, who was raised in Slough.

The set is being crafted locally at Norden Farm in Maidenhead by its technical team.
Ticket prices are set at £14 for adults and £12 for children under 16, with the show recommended for those aged five or older.
There will be a relaxed performance on December 17 at 10.30am and December 21 at 4pm, and a British Sign Language performance on December 20 at 2pm.
