A five-star, award-winning heist comedy is heading to Maidenhead this autumn.
"Revenge: After The Levoyah" will be performed at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Thursday, November 6, at 7.30pm.
Set in Jewish Essex in 2019, the play follows the aftermath of a funeral.
Twins Dan and Lauren are approached by 80-year-old ex-gangster Malcolm Spivak with a proposition to kidnap former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
This results in a chaotic heist that blends comedy and political satire.
The play, written by Nick Cassenbaum and directed by Emma Jude Harris, was first performed at Summerhall during the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it won a Fringe First Award and a Summerhall Lustrum Award.
It explores themes of antisemitism and collective hysteria, with a humorous insight into what it means to be Jewish in London.
Mr Cassenbaum said: "I am over the moon about my show going across the South East.
"This is a show that is unashamedly Jewish and undeniably British.
"I am so looking forward to getting to as many venues as I can to experience the show all over.
"I want people to delve in and have the best time."
Tickets for the performance are £17.
