Valuable intelligence has been garnered by 'unpredictable and highly visible' patrols in Windsor, say Thames Valley Police, amid an ongoing operation.

Project Servator involves officer deployments across Windsor Town Centre.

On January 6, the force stated: "You may have seen our Project Servator officers out in town this morning.

"Despite the cold weather, our deployments continue to keep the area safe.

"During today’s activity, a stop and search was carried out, resulting in valuable intelligence being developed.

"Officers also engaged with several individuals, helping us to identify anyone who may be planning criminal activity and deter crime before it happens."

It added that Project Servator deployments are designed to be unpredictable and highly visible, working with the community and partners to keep everyone safe.

Police added: "If you see something that doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts and report it. Call us on 101 or, in an emergency, dial 999. You can also report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online via TVP YOUR AREA. "

In December the force described the 'behind the scenes' elements of the operation.

It stated: "As part of Project Servator, we combine uniformed patrols with plain clothes officers and live CCTV monitoring.

"This helps us deter crime and identify anyone who may be planning or preparing to cause harm."
