The Slough Creative Academy students' Winter Showcase has been called 'incredible' by the town's MP.

The academy on Stoke Poges Lane states on its website that it attempts to offer industry standard training, 'rigorous academic study', and to reflect 'the cultural diversity within the dance industry'.

Tan Dhesi MP stated: "What an incredible Winter Showcase from the Creative Academy students in Slough.

"Artistic flair derived from their courses on dance, musical theatre and more blew us all away!

"Grateful to the team for entertaining the town, especially local school children, so spectacularly."

The Creative Academy is run as a not-for-profit partnership between Slough Borough Council and The University of West London, launched in 2003 with funding from the European Commission.

It runs BA Honours degrees in dance and musical theatre performance.

Notable alumni include Tasha Ghouri, a dancer, Love Island and Strictly Come Dancing star, as well as Georgia Bradshaw, a West End performer in Sunset Boulevard.
