Three Theatre Royal Windsor productions will tour the UK in 2026 as part of a new touring season.
Theatre Royal Windsor has announced its Theatre Royal Windsor Season on Tour, launching in 2026 and featuring three productions that will travel across the UK after premiering in Windsor.
The line-up includes Noël Coward’s The Marquise, Graham Greene’s Our Man in Havana, and the return of Royce Ryton’s thriller The Anastasia File—all originating from the Theatre Royal Windsor.
Anne-Marie Woodley, theatre director and head of venues for Bill Kenwright Ltd, said: "In recent years, we’ve been immensely proud to develop exceptional work here at Theatre Royal Windsor, including our annual World Premieres born from our Writers in Residence initiative.
"Launching the first three plays of the Theatre Royal Windsor Season on Tour marks an exciting new chapter for us, and we’re thrilled to bring our productions to audiences across the UK."
The Marquise opens the season in Windsor on May 27, 2026, and runs until June 6 before touring to the Oxford Playhouse, Theatre Royal Bath, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford, and additional venues to be announced.
This production of Coward’s romantic comedy is set in the 1930s and directed by Philip Wilson, with design by Colin Falconer and lighting by Nick Richings.
A star cast will be announced at a later date.
The second production, Our Man in Havana, is adapted by Clive Francis from Graham Greene’s novel.
It will run at Theatre Royal Windsor from July 1 to July 11, 2026.
The story follows James Wormold, a British vacuum cleaner salesman in pre-revolutionary Cuba, who is recruited by MI6 and invents a fictional network of spies.
The production, also directed by Philip Wilson, will tour to Salisbury Playhouse, Oxford Playhouse, Theatre Royal Bath, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford, Cheltenham Everyman, and further venues to be announced.
Royce Ryton’s The Anastasia File returns in autumn 2026 following its critically acclaimed run at Theatre Royal Windsor.
It opens on September 30 and runs until October 3 before touring to Salisbury Playhouse, Malvern Theatres, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford, and other venues.
Directed by Roy Marsden, the play stars Jenny Seagrove, Simon Shepherd, Ashley D. Gayle, and Rosie Thomson, with sound design by Dan Samson.
Theatre Royal Windsor is one of the UK’s only unsubsidised, year-round producing theatres.
Part of The Bill Kenwright Group, the theatre is known for its standout productions and ability to attract leading talent.
