A cabinet reshuffle has been announced in the Royal Borough as the authority bids to become financially stable.
Council leader, Cllr Simon Werner has announced New Year changes to his cabinet as the council continues its 'improvement journey'.
One of the key changes will see Cllr Catherine Del Campo's portfolio now bring together housing delivery and strategy with health.
The move has been promoted as a way to ensure housing developments benefit communities, allow the housing needs of the area to be met and to tackle homelessness.
This means that Cllr Adam Bermange will now take cabinet responsibility for adult services within his portfolio which already includes planning and governance.

The administration hopes that this will help to meet the needs of the community by creating 'healthy places' and supporting residents to live healthy and independent lives.
Cllr Chris Moriarty is the newest addition to the cabinet by taking the lead for corporate services, transformation and asset management.
Cllr Mark Wilson will retain the role of lead member for performance and will also now assume responsibility for neighbourhood and leisure services.
The council said this demonstrates its focus to deliver the services that 'matter to residents' such as dealing with litter, graffiti and fly tipping, alongside improving parks and leisure facilities in the borough.
This also allows Cllr Richard Coe to focus on public protection, including licencing, environmental health and community safety, while exploring options for wider community governance.
Council leader, Cllr Simon Werner, said: “We have done so much to fix the mess we have inherited, but we cannot be complacent.
“This new cabinet is determined to continue the great work of making the Royal Borough financially sustainable - while also focusing on creating a borough of safer, greener and cleaner communities, with opportunity for all.”
The next meeting of the Cabinet is on Tuesday 27 January 2026
