A new play from an ethnically diverse social justice theatre company is set to come to Slough next month.

Mandala Theatre Company will bring their new play Incarcerating Eve to the Curve Venue on Friday, February 13, at 7pm.

The story follows Eve an woman who is an indigenous pregnant teenage girl and domestic abuse survivor.

The play is described as powerful and provocative, exposing the disastrous impact of historical suppression of the feminine on families, on society and on the natural balance of the world.

The theatre company says that their work aims to connect people and bring them together.

It was established in 2015, to give voice to those whose stories are not heard and give those stories life by producing work for local, national, and international audiences.

From April 2023, Mandala became an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation (NPO).

Mandala also co-create with young people from diverse backgrounds to place their lived experience at the heart of the creative process and the stories that are presented on stage.

They employ, train and nurture young people and artists from diverse backgrounds, offering pathways into the creative industry.
