The inspectors said that the business’ confidence in management, hygiene/safety and Structural Compliance were all ‘good’.
On Google, the chicken shop boasts a score of 4.1/5 from 352 reviews, many of which are positive.
One reads: “Great food and service.
“Good prices, generous portions, and food always served hot.
“They take phone orders and accept both card and cash.
“You can even place a forward order over the phone, they’ll send you a payment link so everything’s sorted in advance, and your food’s ready to collect.
“Really convenient and reliable.”
Another reads: “Great place and the quality of food is always great for my family and me.
“Fried food always tastes good here, as you can tell; they change the oil regularly, and this shows a good standard.
“Service can be a little slow at times, but it is a busy/popular place, so it’s expected. I don’t really mind as the food is always fresh, so it’s a good trade-off.”
This happy customer said: “Easily the best chicken shop in Slough.
“Best chicken, best and biggest chicken strips and best wings all hot and fresh.
“Also, the chips are not those skinny fries that you get from everywhere else that go cold by the time you get home.”
Dixy Chicken was founded by two friends Mohammed "Mo" Chowdhury and Samuel Jackson in Solihull, West Midlands, in 1986.
Since their formation, they have opened restaurants all over the United Kingdom as well as in countries such as Pakistan, India, the United States, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, Norway and Brunei.
